Francis Chan speaks about giving God our best. God has another side, which many pastors don’t speak about. The bottomline is this, God wants our best and if we don’t give him our best he will curse us and shove dung in our faces. No one really taught me about this stuff when I was growing up either:
Malachi 2:2-3 King James Version (KJV)
2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.
It’s time to get real. Start by surrendering to God and then start loving each other through the power of the Holy Spirit.
John 13:34-35 King James Version (KJV)
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
God gave his son to us because he loved us. He gave us his best, therefore, we owe him our best:
John 3:16 King James Version (KJV)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
