Holy Spirit

After we have cut out all wilful sin then get water baptised.  This is to fulfil all righteousness and to declare to the world that you have officially turned your back on the world, and therefore turned to God.  This normally means we have also cut out secular movies, TV, music, sports and other entertainment.  We are no longer living to satisfy our own desires, but rather we are living to please God.

After we have done the above and are keeping the commandments of Jesus, he will pray to the Father to send the Holy Spirit to dwell in us permanently.  We must ask Jesus to pray to the Father to send the Holy Spirit to us.  Invite the Holy Spirit to live in us because he is a gentleman.  He does not possess us nor does he overpower our will.

In my experience, I have found it fruitful to fast and invite the Holy Spirit to come.  My brother in Christ only fasted for one day whilst I fasted three days, before the Holy Spirit came.  It’s also possible for someone to pray to send the Holy Spirit to you, however, please make sure you have turned from the world and renounced all wilful sin.

Once the Holy Spirit dwells in you, he will make changes inside of you to understand scripture.  You will also experience supernatural things happening, such as, casting out demons from people and healing them.

Scriptural basis

The things of the world are opposite to God.  If we love the things of the world, God’s love isn’t in us:

1 John 2:15-17 King James Version (KJV)

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Water baptism is an official declaration to the world to fulfil all righteousness:

Matthew 3:14-15 King James Version (KJV)

14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

Invite and wait for the Holy Spirit to come to you:

Acts 2:1-2 King James Version (KJV)

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

We must keep the commandments of Jesus before the Holy Spirit will come.  The Holy Spirit is a conditional gift from the Father:

John 14:15-17 King James Version (KJV)

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

God does not pour his Holy Spirit into old vessels:

Mark 2:22 King James Version (KJV)

22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

In my experience, fasting helps a lot:

Power comes from the Holy Spirit:

Acts 1:8 King James Version (KJV)

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Case study 1

This happened to me: After the Holy Spirit came to me, I didn’t realise that I had power.  I discovered I had power when my old friend, someone I had known for almost 20 years, said they started feeling chills standing next to me.  She described as the hairs on the back of her arm standing up.  It turns out that she had some demons in her and as I was praying them out of her, she was shaking in the back of my car.  Later on, she took five occult charms that she had and threw them out.

Case study 2

Secondly, I met a guy by the name of Joel and casually said, hey, Joel sounds like a Christian name, do you believe in Jesus?  He said yes.  I then offered to pray with him and he accepted.  It turns out that he had a depressive spirit around him and when I prayed with him that spirit got blasted out of him.  I myself did not feel anything but the evil spirit lifted from him.  From around this time forward, I kept praying for people and almost everyone I prayed with felt warm or something leaving their bodies.  I started recording some of these encounters and uploaded them to my YouTube channel.
