This brother was in an Alcoholics Anonymous program but he was feeling cornered and parts of the program went against his faith in Jesus Christ. So, he contacted us for prayer to cast out the spirits of addiction, lust and other demons. By the grace of God, we were able to expel these spirits from him:
After the first deliverance, we baptised our brother then we drove out more spirits from him. Then he started joining us for Bible Study and more and more spirits came out of him. Deliverance is a process and there’s no turning back to our former lives once it starts:
Matthew 12:43-45 King James Version (KJV)
43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
We are definitely supposed to turn from the world and Jesus tells us all to sin no more:
John 8:9-11 King James Version (KJV)
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
If you’re having trouble overcoming sin, the first thing to do is to totally surrender and let God be the driver of your life.
