Many of us started our journey of Christ through the process of deliverance. However, this is not a one time event. Deliverance is just the start of the journey because our liberty in Jesus Christ must be maintained.
This message by Vladimir Savchuk hits on all the key points and he explains that deliverance is the start of a journey and we must not forget the second component, which is to maintain our freedom in Christ through maturity:
It is critical for us to maintain our righteousness in Jesus Christ by putting to death the desires of our flesh. Once we have been set free, don’t use that liberty to live after the flesh any longer:
Galatians 5:13-17 King James Version (KJV)
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
After we have been delivered and healed by Jesus Christ, we must pick up our mat and walk:
John 5:8-9 King James Version (KJV)
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
Work out our own salvation in fear and trembling. Jesus has delivered us, now go out and deliver others in the name of Jesus Christ:
Philippians 2:12 King James Version (KJV)
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
