If you’re a Christian wondering where the power of God has gone to in this modern day and age, the answer is that God is real, powerful and alive.  The problem is us.  And here is how to get power from God:

Here is how: We do not tell God what to do.  We do not make demands of him.  We do not make him wait for us.  We do not read his words when we have the time.  We do not fit him into our busy schedules.  God is not our friend.  He is our God.

If we treat God like an actual God: We will read his bible and obey it diligently and precisely everyday.  God tells us what to do.  God makes demands of us.  God makes us wait.  God is your schedule – everything else fits around God.  If you want to experience God, this is the way it must be:  Total reverential fear, servitude, asking according to his will and doing things he tells us to do.

If this is too hard for you then I’m sorry for you.  The bible will only ever be a story book for you.  You will never experience the bible.  You will probably not even make it to heaven, which is God’s home.  You have made yourself a god above God.

If there is something in the bible you don’t like, for instance the fact that Paul prohibited women from teaching then I have this for you:  This is God’s Universe, He does things his way, you may have a better way, but you don’t have a Universe.  Get with God’s program: He is our maker. Learn to obey.

If you’re worried about the impact this will have on your lifestyle then don’t expect God to accommodate you into his lifestyle either.  It won’t happen.  And eternity is a really long time.

Lastly, our faith is not based on words.  It’s based on real power.

The above knocks out 90% of preachers including Joel Osteen, Joseph Prince, TD Jakes, Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar and virtually all Church pastors.  If we want to be like them and preach without power from God then continue listening to their doctrines.  If we want to actually experience the bible instead of reading about the amazing things that the apostles did in the name of Jesus then make Jesus your actual God.
