Even though we receive dreams and visions, these things should never override the word of God.  This is why: Eve had perfect discernment but ultimately made the wrong decision:

⁶ And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Discernment is what got us into this mess in the first place.  Firstly and always, rely on the word of God:

⁸ This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
