There are so many teachings nowadays, so how do we know which Christian doctrine is the right one to follow? It’s simple, follow the people whose words are being confirmed by God. There is Jesus Christ and then there are demons. It’s one or the other. There is no in between.
If someone is casting out demons, he is on the right side:
Matthew 12:30King James Version (KJV)
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
Use the name of Jesus and cast out demons from yourself and others:
Luke 9:49-50King James Version (KJV)
49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
We are commanded to avoid people who have no power:
2 Timothy 3:5 King James Version (KJV)
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
The people who look and sound holy but whose words are not confirmed by God are practising religion. Our God is a living God and his power should be manifesting in us and on the people we pray for.
